Cunnamulla 18May2017

Today a very sensible trip....261k. Brian slept from 10pm to 7.45am, yes he was tired & I hope we will not do that distance again this trip, it's TOO big a day.
We have booked into Cunnamulla Tourist Park for 3 nights. We stayed here 2 years ago.
The drive today was really of no particular interest, typical outback scrub so we enjoyed our 'Audio Book' about the early 1900 of life of a deported convict from London with his family and how they set up a life here. I'm not made of pioneer stuff!
The weather was beautiful this morning but about 4pm the rains came which was expected, we will be pleased of a heater tonight. Last night was the first night we didn't need or use it & woke to a lovely mild morning.
Brian was able to get a sleep and an hours walk around the town before the rains came. I only walked a loop of the Caravan Park!
Tomorrow I'll visit the town & get some fresh veg. It's a very nice little town as far as I remember..
Sorry no pictures today.

  1. I looked up the map to see where you are - gosh it's in the middle of nowhere. Definitely back of Bourke stuff!!
Great effort by Brian to get that far so quick and I bet you have your shorts & shirts on now unlike us.
Enjoy your break there and safe travels to the next stop. xx
