5th October

Only 400k today, but a very interesting trip. We stopped a while at Penang for lunch, it was a place of windmills.
Only a small, very small, township but obviously proud of their distinctiveness and their displays were well maintained.
Note.....I forgot to mention that on Tuesday we went through Quarantine into South Australia......a non event, the Officer 👮 believed Brian when he told him that I had cooked up all fruit & veg, but he did need to open the fridge & check it. He didn't look anymore (we were genuinely legal).
We stopped the night at Polkdinny (Kyancutta) again a free site behind the General store, that's all there was there. About 6 vans. The little park had old machinery and the roller had a forked tree as its method of being pulled by horse or machine. All part of the history of settlement.
